The Religion, Philosophy & Ethics course is intensely focused on our subject, and we strive to support our students to get out into the world with both expertise and the right skills to help them become viable scholars and practitioners. We’re proud to have created an ethos which both stretches and supports our students, in line with the university’s key pillars of careers, connections and community.

We’re now looking for new people to join our team: you will be teaching into our BA Religion, Philosophy & Ethics course. You’ll join a team of experts and specialists who teach on courses which are being constantly refined to bring out the best in our students. We work flexibly, we are innovative, and we want to emulate best practice.

We need practitioners and academics with expertise and understanding of the following areas:

  • Christianity, as well as an ability to contribute to Judaism.
  • Current knowledge and understanding of textual, ritual and theological aspects, as well as the lived experience in relation to contemporary issues including, but not limited to, gender, politics, social justice, and environmental concerns.
  • A future-focused approach and an understanding of the central importance of pastoral as well as academic support and the provision of a positive student experience across the cohort.

We can offer a 2-year Fixed Term Contract and wewant people to join our team who will bring a contemporary understanding of current practice and who can motivate and enthuse our students to be the best they can be. Teaching would begin in September 2024.
