About the role

We are now seeking to appoint a Building and Engineering (B&E) Manager to lead on both the planned and reactive maintenance program for the university. You will be joining at a busy but exciting time as we start to review and re-establish the use of our estate.

As B&E manager you will be responsible for leading a team of in-house maintenance technicians, engineers, and external contractors to ensure they deliver a comprehensive service for staff and students.

Alongside team management you will also be the main point of contact for:

- Procurement and contract management of all building-related maintenance

- managing small to mid-size projects across the university, interacting with a range of stakeholder

- preparing tender documents,

- ensuring quality and budget compliance through regular performance meetings with contractors.

- always ensuring high level of health and safety.

This is great time to join to help nurture and grow a newly formed team and move our estate strategy forward.

Due to the nature of the role, we require a degree of flexibility and ability to be on call.
