Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to appoint a Senior Course Administrator to be responsible largely for DPhil course administration and the Graduate School activities.
About the role
The role will be responsible for supporting the administration of various part-time DPhil (PhD) level courses and the activities of the Graduate School, which facilitates an enriching learning and research environment for both internal and external graduate students and postgraduate researchers. You will provide support for the student lifecycle from start-to-finish, including dealing with admissions, on-course administration and handling post-course enquiries. The post may also support student/research-related activities, as necessary (such as research ethics and events). The role is also known as a ‘Graduate Studies Administrator’ elsewhere in the University.
This is a full-time 1.0 (FTE) position, available on a permanent contract.
About you
You will have strong organisational and administrative skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, be able to work flexibly to deadlines, and possess good interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. You will be competent in a range of standard IT applications and be able to learn new IT systems quickly. You may have previous experience working in a Higher Education environment supporting doctoral study or wish to develop your career in this area.
