Applications are invited for a Data Manager to join the Genomics and Bioinformatics Core (GBC) within the Institute of Metabolic Science Metabolic Research Laboratories at the Clinical School, University of Cambridge.
The GBC provides analytical and data management support to research groups within the Metabolic Research Laboratories (MRL). This covers aspects of genomics such as genome sequencing and single cell approaches, in addition to broader data integration efforts across multiple types of 'omics data. This advertised role provides technical leadership, project management, and oversight to all data management activities in the GBC.
This role has three main purposes:
Applicants must have a PhD level education or equivalent experience.
This is a fixed term Senior Research Assistant (SRA) position (REF returnable) with funding available until 31.03.2030 and is available with immediate effect.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) check, a health assessment and a security check.
