The role
The Universities of Bristol and Bath have recently been re-awarded funding to host an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Cyber Security. The EPSRC CDT in Cyber Security Everywhere is a major investment from the UK Government, industry and host universities to train the next generation of leaders in ensuring that the UK has a resilient, safe future environment. The CDT will train 5 intakes of (at least) 12 students in interdisciplinary approaches to blended infrastructure. Students will benefit from a wide range of cohort-based training and activities, including laboratory-based classes, master-classes, industry workshops and site visits, summer schools, industrial placements, outreach and widening participation events.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for managing this major programme and play a central role in training this next generation of researchers. You will support the Leadership Team with programme management, including the day-to-day operations, e.g., student progress monitoring, student feedback, industrial placement and internships administration, student training, coordinating residentials, summer schools, financial and impact activities. The role involves working in close collaboration with the Centre Directors, Professor Awais Rashid (University of Bristol) and Director, Professor Adam Joinson (University of Bath) as well as part-time administrators at Bristol and Bath.
This is a fixed term contract to provide cover across a busy period with staff absence.
You should apply if
