About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative research team from Bournemouth University (BU), University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) and the Royal Wolverhampton Trust (RWT). The team has been awarded funding from the National Institute for Health Research, Research for Patient Benefit funding stream to undertake innovative research using electrical stimulation to mitigate weakened leg muscles post stroke.

As research project manager, you will be able to demonstrate organisational skills, planning and project administration expertise. Enthusiastic about research, you will use your knowledge and experience of the NHS and neurological rehabilitation, to contribute to the running and reporting of this innovative feasibility study. It is desirable but not essential you have understanding or experience of electrical stimulation, and mixed methods research. As the project manager you will be responsible for conducting the qualitative aspects of the research such as carrying out interviews with people with stroke and their caregivers and focus group with clinicians.  

You will be qualified to Masters or PhD degree level or have equivalent experience. Applications are welcome from those with expertise in the areas of neurorehabilitation and electrical stimulation. Applicants should hold current registration with the HCPC, NMC, or Sports Therapy Register.
