The University is seeking an experienced manager to help shape and develop the University-wide Programme Administration team within the Academic Registry. Reporting to the Academic Registrar, the post-holder will provide leadership and management to the Programme Administration Team, consisting of both placement and programme administration functions and will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of the new Service, strategy, policy and practice. With responsibility for a large and dispersed team of staff at 5 separate locations across the University’s campuses, they will provide effective leadership of day-to-day operations and the development and management of staff to support the effective and efficient administration of the University’s academic programmes and a consistent and high quality service to our students. They will also take a leading role in ensuring effective communication and working relationships with the Academic institutes, other Professional services, the Students’ Union, collaborative partners and external agencies.
The successful candidate will have substantial knowledge and experience of dealing with HE student and programme administration and information management systems and will have recognised expertise to advise on, develop, maintain and continuously improve the effective delivery of services to students and programme administration across the University and in line with University strategy, policies, regulations and procedures. Drawing on external best practice and professional networks, the Programme Administration Manager will provide advice and support to others and demonstrate highly developed organisational, communication and networking skills as well as having the ability to lead a team through significant change.
