The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Manager role, joining a large, multi-disciplinary research team, working on a 7-year (until 31st August 2031) Wellcome Trust funded project entitled ‘Discovering Liveability: Co-producing alternatives to suicide prevention’. The Research Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and monitoring of strategic plans and processes to ensure timely delivery of this large social science research project relating to suicide prevention and lived experience.
This post is 1.0 FTE (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
A proven track record of success in research project management, including management of finances and resources.
Experience of managing the activities of others including line and team management.
Knowledge and experience of Higher Education sector, including university structures and the knowledge-exchange and impact landscape in UK higher education.
Highly effective organisational skills.
Knowledge of suicide prevention and/or mental health sectors.
