Manager - Social Hub Cafe/Bar

Full time: 75 hours per fortnight

We have expanded our Social Hub café and basement bar facilities at Girton College with an exciting new outdoor terrace this summer and we are looking for a personable and conscientious Social Hub Manager to develop this new business area. The café/bar serves students, Fellows and staff, as well as external guests of the College and VIPs, including at a range of conferences, concerts and other functions supported by our team throughout the year.

You will have at least two years’ previous experience working at Manager or Deputy Manager level  in a busy café/bar environment. You will need excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills, demonstrate initiative and good judgement, and you will enjoy taking full responsibility for daytime and evening shifts, as you lead and motivate a small team. If you’re ready to work with other Managers across the College to shape a new business area, this is an exciting opportunity to develop a hospitality offer in the fabulous surroundings of a Cambridge College!
