Do you want to help play a crucial role in several projects within the overarching FTP Programme including Finance System Replacement (FSR), University Payment System, Source to Contract and Enhanced Financial Transparency (EFT)?
The work of the Business Analyst will involve liaising between staff within departments and functional and development teams where appropriate, to ensure business requirements are translated fully and accurately. You will support the delivery of business change and aid efficiencies with particular attention to Finance Systems in the University.
As well as reviewing and mapping data flows and undertaking analysis work which will be of significant size and impact the wider University. You will play an important role in understanding the interactions of data and processes across a number of systems.
The Role
You will use a range of investigative techniques to uncover problems and issues using qualitative and quantitative investigation and documenting the results using rich pictures, mind maps, fishbone diagrams and surveys.
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for providing insight, review and analysis on business processes across the Finance Division and where these processes impact the wider University. You will provide robust stakeholder management, using appropriate communication methods to elicit information.
The role will identify, define and prioritise requirements (using MoSCoW or similar) to result in a solution, delivering features and behaviours that meet the true business objectives.
You will create processes and procedures, documenting requirements, specifications for translation into test scripts, detailing training required and the benefits realisation for change.
Your Skills
You will have significant experience of analysing business processes, knowledge of data flows and excellent inter-personal and communication skills to manage stakeholders. IT/business change project experience and exposure to both agile and waterfall methods of working is important.

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
