The Education Data and Insight Team are based within the Education Administration Office within Education and Student Success. We’re a service team who provide operational reporting, management information, analysis and insight, and administrative support to a variety of stakeholders across the university. We perform a key role within the university, helping to drive forward decision-making and providing the evidence base for action or helping to change perceptions. We work closely with other teams in the university, in particular the Student Resolution Service who provide enhanced support and resolution for students whose experience does not go smoothly, and manage risk associated with these high risk and psychologically challenging matters on behalf of the University.
What will you be doing?
- Provide administrative support to a number of teams within the Education Administration Office, in particular supporting the Student Resolution Service. You’ll service a variety of meetings, carry out diary management, undertake initial case management, create and update relevant documentation. This work will involve interaction with high risk and psychologically challenging student casework requiring high levels of emotional intelligence.
- Support key operational processes. You’ll provide operational support for key processes throughout the year, including events such as examinations, graduation, and registration.
- Routine communication with students and staff. Responding to queries and requests for information as required and in line with University policy and procedure, whilst maintaining confidentiality and adherence to GDPR.
- Understand how the student lifecycle at the University of Bristol works. You’ll learn about operational processes and the data they generate, and how to turn that data into knowledge and insight.
- Provide great looking, easy to use and accessible reporting products that everyone in the university can tap into. You support the reporting needs of the University, help the division and the wider university make decisions.
- Ensure all outputs are documented and quality checked. You’ll write and update documentation, and where necessary feed into training documentation. You will self-review work to ensure it meets standard, as well as peer review work from other team members.
