About us
The Department of Anthropology at UCL is a research-led department with an international reputation, offering innovative teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Public Anthropology, a section within the department, provides a number of innovative industry-led postgraduate programmes and undergraduate modules in diverse areas of documentary film making, broadcast, virtual reality and creative enterprise. The section is part of the School for the Cultural and Creative Industries (SCCI).
This post is based at UCL East, with occasional meetings in Bloomsbury, and supports teaching in the Public Anthropology section.
This new UCL campus offers a range of facilities including specialist academic spaces and equipment, a large 24-hour library, digital accessibility hubs, catering and retail outlets and staff common room.
About the role
The role holder will be responsible for ensuring a high-level of administrative support is provided to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, their student cohort and academic and teaching staff. The role leads on developing, assessing, documenting and implementing a consistent set of procedures and processes, covering the full academic cycle, including module registration, assessment, feedback, examinations, module review, academic regulations, quality assurance and committees within our Public Anthropology Section.

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 60% on site.

About you
It is essential that the role holder has previous experience of working in degree programme administration in an HE environment.
They should have experience of working in a line management or supervisory role, and must be efficient, organised and take great care in attention to detail.
In addition, the role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL thus a professional attitude, willingness to help and a positive outlook are required.
