The role
We are looking to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join the School as Student Administration Manager and work with the Education Directors in delivering high-quality education processes.
This role is a rewarding leadership position in a friendly, busy team that covers undergraduate and postgraduate administration in the School of Sociology Politics and International Studies. The role is varied, fast paced and will suit those who enjoy collaborative working. Well-developed communication skills are essential as the post holder will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
The role will be based on campus, with scope for blended working in line with University and School policy and guidance.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for the delivery of administrative services underpinning undergraduate and postgraduate educational activities in the School, ensuring consistently high quality assistance to all school staff and students. You will work closely with Academic leadership roles, Faculty roles and across Educations networks in the University as well as shaping how the School creates excellent student experience across our varied cohorts.

You should apply if you have the initiative, communication and organisational skills to be an effective and supportive manager and leader. You will possess a high level of accuracy, flexibility and customer service skills and will be able to lead and implement change in a busy and engaging environment. You can prioritise effectively for yourself and others, to ensure the whole team delivers to deadlines.
In addition, you should be experienced in using a range of IT systems and be able to adapt to new systems and processes quickly. You are resilient and positive, even when dealing with complex and challenging problems.
