Job Summary:
We invite applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position from outstanding, highly-motivated applicants with an interest in DNA damage and the use of RNA-based therapeutics for the treatment of prostate cancer.
You would be joining a dynamic and expanding group, undertaking collaborative and multidisciplinary work with the aim of progressing a novel DNA-damaging small RNA-based therapeutic towards clinical trials. This role provides a unique opportunity to assess therapeutic efficacy in both animal and patient-derived models. Research is conducted in collaboration with world-leading academic scientists from Imperial College London and chemists/biologists from the Nucleic Acid Therapeutics Accelerator, offering excellent opportunities to develop skills and networks.
Duties and responsibilities
You should be well-organised, self-motivated, able to work effectively as part of a team, and passionate about excelling in biomedical research. You will be required to pro-actively liaise with diverse teams, thus excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. You will also demonstrate a passion for developing new research capabilities.

You will also enjoy problem solving and be self-motivated, ambitious, disciplined and cooperative. There will be opportunities to acquire experience in supervision of research students and staff. The post is funded by Prostate Cancer Research and provides the opportunity to work within the Division of Cancer, Imperial College London, one of the leading research-led universities worldwide.
