The Translational Immunology Group in the Liverpool Head and Neck Centre, are pleased to invite applicants for a Post-Doctoral Researcher to work on a clinical trial, evaluating personalised doggybone DNA vaccines in lung cancer. The project is built on our published research in T cells in the tumour microenvironment. The project is funded by the Medical Research Council. The ideal candidate will have experience in T-cell immunology. General immunology techniques such as Flow Cytometry, ELISpot and TCR rescue are desirable. We are seeking a motivated team player to integrate with our clinical and academic researchers to work independently and to support our PhD students and technical staff in the laboratory. An understanding of, or desire to learn single cell transcriptomics and the bioinformatical analysis would be beneficial. There will be exciting opportunities to collaborate with industry as well as integrate within a network of established UK collaborators and with key international partners at La Jolla Institute, San Diego, USA.
You should have a PhD degree in cancer vaccinology or T cell immunology ideally supported by publications in good impact journals in the field.

Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
