We are looking for an ambitious theorist with a proven track record of high-quality publications whose ambition is to develop and pursue their independent research agenda. We offer a vibrant research environment with opportunities for collaborations with the members of the Algorithms and Complexity group as well as with the world-leading academics in the school of Mathematics. We will consider applicants from all subfields within Algorithms and Complexity research.

This post will be at the Lecturer level with a salary between £41,732 – £54,395 per annum, depending on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

What will you be doing?

  • As a Lecturer, you will pursue personal research, disseminate findings, and engage in impactful activities beyond academia.
  • You will deliver engaging teaching, supervise projects, and build and contribute to research programmes.
  • You will design courses, guide student assessments, and foster academic growth.

  • You will have further opportunities to work with researchers in other theory disciplines, e.g., Programming Languages and Cryptography, with the school of Mathematics, and beyond as appropriate.
