Loughborough University’s outstanding academic student experience is underpinned by high-quality student-facing services together with excellent processes, systems and data, delivered through a collaborative partnership between Academic Registry and Schools. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Academic Registry, providing leadership on student statutory returns, the management of data underpinning the student academic life cycle and supporting business change and process improvement activity.
The role includes lead responsibility for most of the University’s student statutory returns. The role also involves leading data provision and analysis for live student data, as well as University-level leadership of student data quality. We are seeking a proactive, well-organised individual, with excellent analytical skills. Applicants should have substantial higher education administration experience, ideally working in a student-related context.
At Loughborough University we are committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and making the University a place where both students and staff feel valued and are able to realise their full potential. An appreciation of the importance of and a commitment to EDI is therefore essential.
The successful candidate will join a high-performing team with strong people, data and digital skills. The role provides a fantastic opportunity to build on the local success of the first year of Data Futures, to work across the institution to embed good practice and to improve the student experience through important change activity. Career progression from this role is likely to be varied, with opportunities around process change and business improvement, project management, data management, and higher education administration leadership and management. Training and development will be provided across all aspects of the role.
Academic Registry make a vital contribution to the University’s continued success in the National Student Survey and the University is ranked in the top 10 of all major national league tables. We offer flexible working to colleagues where possible and understand the importance of a good work/life balance. The post will be mostly based on campus, with some opportunities for home working in line with the University’s dynamic working arrangements. In addition to working for an employer of choice on our stunning East Midlands campus, we offer an excellent range of benefits to our employees and pride ourselves on being family friendly.
For any informal enquiries regarding the post, please contact the line manager, Daniel Norton, Head of Student Records and Operations, via email: D.Norton2@lboro.ac.uk.
