The Role
As Outreach Officer you will deliver the widening access activities within our new Access and Participation Plan, which aims to support young and mature learners from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to access higher education. Our widening access strategy offers various outreach programmes aimed at engaging with schools, colleges, learners, and other key stakeholders to raise awareness and understanding of the creative and digital industries and future careers within in our industry, as well as supporting journeys into higher education through skills development workshops, and providing information, advice, and guidance. You will work within the APP team and collaborate with colleagues across the Institution, including the Student Recruitment Marketing team, Academic Departments, and with colleagues in Admissions, Communications & Content and Student Services.
The candidate
Our ideal candidate will have experience of designing and delivering creative workshops and be motivated to bring forward ideas for new projects. Ideally, they will also have some experience of working with schools and understand the Further Education and Higher Education landscape. They will be passionate about supporting young people and mature learners from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to access higher education and enabling them to succeed.
