The opportunity:
Applications are invited for a Part-time Teaching Fellow position in the Biomedical Teaching Organisation to deliver teaching sessions for the Health, Illness and Society 3 course. The post holder will assist with delivery of in-person teaching (Wednesdays, 9am-1pm, weeks 1-10incl), the assessment of course work and the degree examination. There is also the opportunity to be involved in course development.
The post will run from 1st August 2024 to 31st January 2025 for 32 hours per month (this equates to an average of 8 hours per week). Teaching delivery is on campus, every Wednesday, 9am-1pm. Candidates must be available for this in-person teaching for the entirety of the semester, weeks 1-10incl.
The post-holder requires a higher degree and/or experience in teaching in Higher Education in a discipline illustrating expertise in Sociology of Health and Illness, Medical Sociology (or anthropology), or Public Health. A high level of IT expertise is required along with good communication skills.
