As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Computer Science undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as CPD courses. Applicants with expertise in all areas of Computer Science are encouraged to apply. A particular emphasis is on contributing to/leading the delivery & research in Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Embedded Systems, and related areas.
You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department, establishing and/or contributing to activities of one of our Research Units and to meet the qualitative and quantitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF).

The Department of Computer Science, which is part of the Faculty of Arts & Science, is growing rapidly. The department is housed in the £13m state-of-the-art Tech Hub building, which includes specialist Computer Science & Engineering laboratories for teaching and research. Specifically, the department has a Harvard-style lecture theatre and ten specialist teaching laboratories, in addition to an open access laboratory and a 4k CAVE (Computer Augmented Virtual Environment). Our games labs are equipped with 85 PCs (with GPUs), and resources include Microsoft HoloLens, HTC VIVE Headsets, Meta Quest2 Headset. We use Unity, Blender and Visionary Render software. Other specialist equipment includes robots and a number of robotic arms and epucks 2.
