An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Quality Improvement Fellow in the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) based at the Botnar Research Centre, Oxford. You may also be able to arrange a pattern of remote working with your line manager.

As Clinical Quality Improvement Fellow, you will be a member of a quality improvement group with responsibility for carrying out clinical and research development for the Major Revision Knee Network (MRKN) based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.

You will manage your own research and administrative activities, successfully managing small-scale projects to meet deadlines, while acting as a source of advice to other members of the multidisciplinary MRKN team. You will develop materials (including research databases) to help improve the care of patients undergoing investigation of problematic knee replacements, will contribute ideas for new related research projects, and will collaborate in preparing research publications. You will engage with patient and public involvement MRKN work, presenting papers and representing the group at external meetings, conferences, and seminars.

You will have research experience in revision arthroplasty/knee surgery (holding a Trauma and Orthopaedic National Training number), alongside experience developing/delivering quality improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (including the ability to write for publication, present research, and represent the group at meetings), and will demonstrate an ability to handle sensitive information in line with statutory, ICH, departmental, and GDPR guidelines.

This is a full-time (37.5 hrs) fixed-term appointment for 12 months.
