A Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) is required to work on a Leverhulme Trust funded research project within the Fashion, Business & Technology discipline, Department of Materials, Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Manchester.

The aim of this innovative research project is to explore and expand on the impact of worker voice in the Leicester ready-made garment (RMG) industry. The research is related to the field of sustainable supply chain management and operations, modern slavery and work-based learning.

The successful candidate will be part of multidisciplinary team. The project involves working in close collaboration with the Principl Investigator (PI) Dr Amy Benstead, University of Manchester and the following Co-investigators (Co-Is), Erica Charles, GCU London, Dr Dane Lukic, GCU London and Dr Helen Goworek, Durham University. 

The post-holder will work closely with the PI and the Co-Is. Background knowledge of modern slavery and socially sustainable supply chains is desirable. Strong qualitative analysis, communication and organisational skills are the primary requirement for this role. The successful applicant will focus on reviewing the literature/reports and data analysis whilst also contributing to the efficient management and administration of the project.
