Fixed-term: 32 months 

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to develop novel stem cell gene therapies for childhood neurological diseases. Your main role will be to develop and improve ex vivo stem cell gene therapies for Mucopolysaccharide diseases. Experience of working with mouse disease models and gene or cell therapy is essential.

The post is available for 32 months

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A PhD (achieved or about to be awarded) in neuroscience, cell biology, biochemistry, gene therapy, pharmaceutical sciences or a related haematological discipline.
  • Excellent research and methodological skills relevant to the research theme
  • Experience of working with stem cells and/or gene therapy vectors
  • Experience of working with in vivo neurological methods, especially in disease models
  • Experience of working with animals/personal licence
