We are looking to recruit a resourceful, flexible, and enthusiastic individual to support our researchers in the development of new and ongoing projects in magnetoencephalography (both cryogenic and OPM MEG), and virtual reality.
The successful candidate will be a competent computer programmer (for example, familiar with C#, C++, Python), and with hands-on experience in brain imaging, preferably MEG. They will also be an excellent communicator who can contribute to a diverse range of research projects, from the design stage through implementation, and data analysis, offering both basic and advanced support.
The work will take place in the Institute for Health and Neurodevelopment’s clinically approved MEG laboratories, and the Aston Laboratory for Immersive Virtual Environments (ALIVE), within the College of Health and Life Sciences. We have a focus on clinically relevant human neuroscience, and our research environment is optimised for work with children, clinical patients, and other volunteers.
