Role Outline
Boston University Study Abroad London is seeking a lecturer to teach a popular elective course in International Marketing as part of our Fall 2024 London Internship Programme for American study abroad students. Starting in mid-October, teaching is for 9 weeks on Mondays (AM or PM slots) or Fridays (AM slots) amounting to 40 classroom contact hours in total, plus final exam coverage for the course, which concludes on Thursday 12th December.
Elective B classes are taught on Mondays or Fridays. Monday classes are scheduled for 14th, 21st, and 28th October; 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th November; 2nd, 3rd and 9th December. Alternatively, Friday classes are scheduled for 18th and 25th October; 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd , and 29th November; 5th, 6th and 10th December. The final exam is scheduled for 12th December. Additionally, 11th December is reserved as a contingency teaching day, to be utilised if any lectures cannot be delivered as planned during the academic calendar.
This is a temporary appointment with the potential to be renewed.

International Marketing
This module aims to develop a critical understanding of the process, aims and challenges of marketing in an international environment. It will teach how international marketing differs from traditional, domestic marketing while emphasising that the two disciplines are underpinned by the same principles. During the semester, students will learn how key environmental forces in international markets provide both constraints and opportunities to companies operating overseas. The module will also demonstrate the influence of international competition, market segmentation and strategy decisions specific to international marketing.

The successful candidate will be a highly competent lecturer, possessing significant professional experience and teaching expertise in International Marketing. They will hold a minimum of a Master’s degree, preferably a PhD, in a relevant discipline. Applicants should demonstrate excellent cross-cultural communication skills and experience in teaching undergraduate students, preferably including American & international students.
