Faculty

Visualising Heritage (https://visualisingheritage.org/) have developed wide-ranging capabilities in digital documentation, processing, analysis and visualisation of rich 3D data. We use a diverse range of complementary capture methods and presentation formats to aid heritage conservation and to support analysis, interpretation and understanding. Our high-definition prospection and survey capabilities for archaeology and heritage have recently been enhanced through £6.2m investment from AHRC. 

What you will be doing:

  • Support successful completion of research and knowledge exchange projects in accordance with project deadlines, 
  • Applying specialist knowledge in visualisation to projects that aim to represent the historic environment through immersive experiences. 
  • The role is central to developing content for shared experiences within our immersive projection spaces, including 7-metre iGloo Cylinder.  

Qualifications/ experience:

Knowledge and track record of creating interactive and engaging content for digital technologies and virtual environments. This may include using XR (Augmented and Virtual Reality), Projection-Mapping, 3D printing, and/or working with images and video to create visualisations.
