The Role
The School of History, Classics & Archaeology is excited to advertise a position in history (post-1700) for an innovative researcher and educator preferably in either of the following subfields:
You will have an ambitious research programme. This will include securing external research funding, publishing high-quality outputs in internationally recognised venues, and carrying out activities that use academic research to make demonstrable contributions to society. You will be an innovative educator, contributing to the development and delivery of programmes in the History section, and ensuring an outstanding teaching experience for our students. We are eager to develop our unit's capacity to engage with the impact of the latest developments in technology (AI, big data) on teaching and learning in our field.
The School of History, Classics and Archaeology expects all colleagues to commit to fostering an inclusive and equitable working environment that embraces the diversity of our staff, students, and communities. We especially encourage applications from under-represented groups, including women and people with Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
