Working closely with our current Careers Information Officers, you will act as the first point of enquiry, delivering a welcoming and professional service for students, graduates, academic staff and employers contacting the CareerCentral and visiting our CareerCentral building at the heart of the UEA campus.
Experience of working in a busy, customer-focused environment, with first rate customer and communication skills, and the ability to efficiently manage appointments and information systems are all essential.
In addition, you will have excellent organisational skills, be able to manage conflicting priorities in a calm manner and be an effective team worker. You’ll need two A-levels at grades A-E and five GCSEs at grades A-C (including Mathematics and English), or equivalent qualifications or experience, and be able to satisfy all the essential criteria in the person specification.
This part-time (0.4 FTE / 14.5 hours per week) post is available immediately on an indefinite basis, working Thursdays and Fridays.
UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, job share and/or term-time only. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.
Further information on our great benefits package, including 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.
Closing date: 9 June 2024
