The Internet of Caring Things (IoCT) Cluster Manager will develop, co-ordinate and provide specialist expertise to the world's first Internet of Caring Things Cluster in the North of Tyne region, generating collaborations between this National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA) project and a variety of partners and commercial client organisations. You will have a passion for innovation in the space of healthy ageing and longevity and a deep knowledge of Internet of Things and how businesses can innovate, through data connectivity, bringing an entrepreneurial focus on how to enable businesses to harness the opportunities related to the Internet of Caring Things.
You will be central to the development of the cluster and delivery of project activities which will increase the productivity of the companies in the cluster, drive innovation in the IoCT field, and stimulate new businesses to take up opportunities to develop internet enabled products and services to help as we age. You will have a strong understanding of the technology and innovation sector, ideally linked to healthy longevity. You will work to analyse business needs and opportunities in the region and, with the Programme Manager, design and coordinate a programme of cluster events and activities to provide knowledge exchange, networking and drive innovation. You will use your extensive knowledge and networking skills to bring together businesses with various stakeholders from the North of Tyne Combined Authority and further afield, brokering collaborations as appropriate. The IoCT Project has been part funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority for 5-years to assist businesses in the region to increase economic growth, create jobs in key NTCA sectors, and ultimately improve resident wellbeing through developing IoCT enabled products and services. We are building, with partners, a World class innovation ecosystem, providing economic and social opportunities and innovations, with a central focus on citizens and community that will mark the region as an international leader for IoCT innovation.
