Role Summary

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Associate Professor to support our recently launched MSc in Business Analytics which is a collaboration between the Departments of Management, Marketing and Accounting. We welcome applications from researchers working in any of these cognate areas with a specialism in Business Analytics. We specifically seek applications from those with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Management Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Information Systems, Data Mining , Intelligent Data Analysis, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Marketing analytics, Customer insights, Quantitative data analysis, Social media analytics, Data driven marketing decisions. We are searching for an individual who will contribute to teaching within the relevant Department. We expect evidence of quality publications, excellent teaching, PhD supervision, an understanding of the research funding landscape and developing academic leadership skills among others. 

Person Specification

  • A PhD/DBA relevant to the discipline area
  • Relevant teaching experience and scholarship within international business and strategy
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills across a range of relevant contexts
  • Able to demonstrate awareness of the academic needs of all kinds of students and use appropriate approaches to learning and teaching support
  • Able to demonstrate excellence in Learning and Teaching, and Management and administration.
