External Relations is comprised of seven teams which help drive delivery of the University’s strategic framework. We communicate with Birmingham’s many different audiences in order to build purposeful relationships internally, locally, nationally, and globally. We enable those who wish to apply to study on undergraduate and postgraduate courses to make informed choices whilst ensuring our partnerships, profile and reputation reflects the success of the University and delivers impact. External Relations sits within the University’s Professional Services structure which provides outstanding support to our researchers, enables an exceptional educational experience for our students, and helps the University to grow its influence regionally, nationally, and globally.
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our Business Team on a fixed term basis until 28 February 2025. You will provide high level PA support to named Directors, managing complex diaries and inboxes. The role is critical to the smooth running of External Relations and will also cover various areas of activity eg project administration support, HR and recruitment, data management and departmental events.
Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PA to take on a key role within External Relations. As a senior personal assistant and administrator within the division you will provide support for two Directors across a broad range of administrative and operational duties. You will be responsible for supporting colleagues and for sharing knowledge and best practice across the ER Operations Network. You will use your excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure the people you support are well prepared, and that the tasks you carry out are completed to a high quality in a timely manner.
