Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HR Policy Manager to play an important role in developing and shaping Imperial’s HR policies and contribute to our success as a world leading organisation.
Duties and responsibilities
You will join the HR Policy team as the HR Policy manager with responsibility for leading on the review and development of policies, procedures, and guidance documents, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and alignment with Imperial’s strategic aims and objectives.
Collaborating closely with other HR teams, Department managers and the employment law team you will ensure our policies are up-to-date, effective, and reflective of best practice. You will play an important role in providing expert guidance and advice on HR Policy to HR colleagues as well as the wider organisation.
Key duties will include proactively identifying areas for policy improvement and developing solutions to continuously improve our HR policies. You will be up to date with emerging HR trends and employment legislation and work alongside HR colleagues to ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies across Imperial College.
Essential requirements
You should have proven experience of writing employment policies and procedures either as an HR Policy Manager or a similar role with an excellent understanding of HR policy. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Hybrid working may be considered for this role. Staff working in roles that are suitable for hybrid working will normally be expected to work 60% of their time onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
