Job Summary
The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust to investigate Homologous Recombination in the context of chromosome. To carry out research programmes in RAD51 modulators including FIGNL1 and BRCA2 in modulating RAD51 filament formation. The Research Associate will be expected to submit publications to refereed journals.
The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of international researchers investigating the structures and mechanisms of large key complexes in DNA damage signaling and repair. The successful candidate will mainly be located at the Francis Crick Institute but will also be able at Imperial College London, South Kensington campus. We employ a combination of biochemistry, biophysics, X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy techniques, utilizing our excellent facilities at Imperial and the Francis Crick Institute. Successful candidates must hold a PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology or relevant discipline and have a demonstrated track record in conducting high quality original research. This post is funded by the Wellcome Trust and will be initially for 3 years.

Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range £40,694 - £43,888 per annum.
