An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Sport Administrator to join the UEU+Sport Department of the Sportspark
You will provide administrative support to ‘uea+sport’, a department within the Sportspark that oversees and co-ordinates all aspects of student sport: 57 sports clubs; elite athletes; and an award-winning participation/social sport programme.
Your duties will include processing purchase orders and financial transactions; managing office and student sport e-mail enquiries; preparing agendas and taking minutes; and administering the vehicle booking and test procedures.
You must have GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualifications or directly relevant experience), together with experience of providing administrative support in a busy office setting requiring multiple priorities.
Good communication, organisation, data management, customer service and IT skills are all essential criteria for the post, and an interest in working in a sport setting or in sport related activities would be advantageous.
This post is available from 22 July 2024 on an indefinite basis.
Your hours under the University's annualised hours system are based on average as a 32.3-hour week (0.8075 FTE) over a 52.2-week year, making a total of 1686 hours per year. You will be expected to flex these hours according to the seasonal requirements of the department, which typically will be 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE) during semester dates, and significantly reduced during holiday periods.
The exact pattern of hours will be discussed and agreed with your line manager.
