To assist in research (by carrying out data collection or analyses) to create knowledge through providing research support for projects and research groups.
Our international group of highly motivated and interdisciplinary structural biologists is expanding! We are looking for a research assistant fascinated by the structural basis of molecular functions. You will study proteins active in RNA metabolism through biochemical and biophysical methods. You will learn and apply techniques such as cloning, protein expression and purification, RNA transcription and purification, band shift assays, activity assays of various kinds. We offer unique access to first-class instrumentation for structural biology, fully equipped biochemistry and molecular biology laboratories. This interdisciplinary research environment will provide you with unique development opportunities.
Our globally-operating research group is embedded in a vibrant community of world-renowned scientists in the fields of genome biology, cancer research and microbiology. We believe in interdisciplinarity and we strive to integrate biochemistry with functional studies in cells, as well as with drug design and molecular engineering.
