Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers. A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a Lead People and Organisational Development Business Partner to join the University’s Human Resources function (known internally as People and Organisational Development or P&OD). As a member of our P&OD team, you'll play a crucial role in fostering an environment where talent thrives and innovation flourishes.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of P&OD for College of Science & Engineering (COSE), in this role you will deliver and coordinate a range of human resources business partnering provision that is aligned to the College of Science & Engineering (COSE) and University P&OD strategic and operational plans. Acting as an integrated business partner, you will develop and maintain effective, trusted client relationships and service delivery partnerships across COSE, supporting the delivery of the people agenda within the College, and influencing and delivering ‘people’ related initiatives that are aligned with the College’s business needs. This will include working alongside senior P&OD colleagues to identify, propose and implement people solutions, such as organisational design and development, workforce planning and talent management initiatives, to enable the achievement of strategic objectives at both a College and institutional level.

You will be part of the College’s P&OD professional team, and will play a key, lead role in coordinating the collaborative efforts of the business partner team to deliver an expert service that ensures that managers and staff across the College are able to utilise dedicated, tailored P&OD advisory and administrative services effectively. You will guide the delivery of routine human resources operations and collaborate with others to steer key projects and initiatives to successful implementation.
