About This Position
LRC (Library) Assistant (Part Time)
Joining us as a Learning Resource Centre (Library) Assistant, you will facilitate learning within the LRC, being the first line of help for students and staff in locating and using library, information and learning resources.
Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the LRCs, you will support students and staff with digital literacy and IT support, research and study skills; in addition to supporting students with the range of facilities and services offered by each library centre. Standard duties will include issuing and renewing resources via Library Management System (LMS), shelving returned items, as well as monitoring and assisting students with the effective use of IT facilities, (software applications and platforms and digital resources).
With strong communication and customer services skills, you will have excellent IT skills, a good working knowledge of MS Office applications and be capable of retrieving information from a number of sources within a library. Previous experience of working in a similar environment and facilitating learning for learners of all ages and abilities is desirable.
This role is Term Time Only plus 1 week.
