The Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) is seeking to recruit a Course Coordinator who will be will be responsible, with the Course Director, for the day-to-day delivery and running of the nine-month MSc in Migration Studies (MSc MS).  In particular, this will involve providing administrative support, including disseminating course information, timetabling and room bookings; managing examinations, assessments and assignments; and servicing relevant committees.
The post is part of a team of departmental graduate course coordinators headed by the Graduate Courses Manager. In particular, the post holder will work closely with the Course Coordinator: MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (MSc RFMS) as these two degrees run in parallel with each other.
This is a responsible and demanding position within the Department’s Student Administration team.  The post holder will be expected to work with minimum supervision and prioritise competing demands effectively. They will need to work collaboratively with colleagues in two Departments, the Division and the University.
 
The post holder will have previous relevant administrative experience ideally in the Higher Education sector. They will have proven organisational skills and ability to use initiative, be proactive in solving problems, and implement improvements to systems and processes. They will also have evidence of a high standard of written and oral communication, with ability to convey information in a clear and accurate manner; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
 
This is a part time (22 hours / 60% FTE), permanent position.
