Do you thrive in a busy office environment, enjoy keeping things running smoothly and anticipating needs before they arise? Are you a master of organisation, communication, and problem-solving?
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as Senior Business Support Officer/PA in Student & Academic Services (S&AS). Led by the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, S&AS provides a home for professional services teams supporting key aspects of the educational experience: https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/saas
In this role, you will provide personal administrative and operational support to the Associate Director of Student & Academic Services (Jamie Butler) and the Director of Apprenticeship Delivery and Compliance (Sambit Sen). You will be a key point of contact, ensuring smooth daily operations and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
We are looking for someone with proven experience of supporting senior staff at an institution/company (but this does not need to be at a university). You should have good attention to detail, strong IT skills and be able to cope with juggling multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
You will support two senior staff, and will also be part of the department’s Business Support Team; a team of 8 colleagues who support the Executive Team.
The ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism is essential as well as the ability to present information clearly and persuasively (both verbally and in writing).
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University. This role would require you to spend a minimum of 60% of your time on campus in Sheffield.
