Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting an exciting and rare opportunity for a Teacher to join our Digital Media team at Joseph Wright Centre delivering our fantastic Creative Media curriculum. The department offers vocationally based qualifications at level 1, 2 and 3. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated professional who is ready to deliver an outstanding experience to our students.
The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the success of our Media provision, which attracts students from across the East Midlands. You’ll be joining a supportive and enthusiastic teaching team with a shared passion for creative media.

About you
You’ll have teaching experience in Media or an industry related area and be a forward thinking and innovative teacher with students at the heart of your work. You’ll have practical expertise that encompasses how media products such as videography, animation, audio production, pre-production (scriptwriting, etc.), video production and media marketing. You’ll be well versed in how to take students through the different stages of production.
You’ll be fully confident with online editing platforms like Canva and Capcut, as well as an understanding of the Adobe Creative cloud’s suite of products (focusing on Premiere Pro and Photoshop – After Effects would be a bonus), and able to demonstrate these skills through highly effective planning, outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.
