About the Institute
The Jinan University – University of Birmingham Joint Institute (J-BJI) was established in 2016 through a strategic partnership between Jinan University (China) and the University of Birmingham (UK). Approved by the Ministry of Education of China, J-BJI delivers English-medium programmes and promotes international collaboration in teaching and research.
The Institute currently enrolls over 1,000 undergraduate students and will soon launch new postgraduate programmes in Statistical Data Science, Bioinformatics, and Healthcare Data Science in collaboration with the University of Birmingham.
Research Environment
J-BJI is establishing the Jinan University – University of Birmingham Joint Research Centre for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences, which will serve as a platform for high-level research collaboration in mathematics, statistics, artificial intelligence, and data science.
The Centre aims to foster interdisciplinary research, attract outstanding scholars worldwide, and build an internationally visible research community supported by strong collaboration between Jinan University and the University of Birmingham.
Position
The Institute invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
