Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting a Senior SEND Case Worker to join our dedicated SEND team. This role will support students across our college campuses, playing a key part in ensuring learners receive the guidance, support, and opportunities they need to thrive both academically and personally.
The Opportunity
The Senior SEND Case Worker will coordinate and deliver targeted support for incoming students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The role involves working closely with students, families, staff and external professionals to promote inclusive practice, lead on complex case management and oversee EHCP processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring every learner receives tailored support to help them achieve their academic goals and personal potential.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will have a strong working knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP processes within a Further Education environment, including the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act. You will bring proven experience of complex case management and effective multi-agency collaboration, alongside excellent organisation and communication skills.You will be confident advising and guiding staff, and able to build constructive, professional relationships with parents, carers and external stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for learners. You must also hold a specialist qualification in supporting students with learning difficulties/disabilities or equivalent.
