A unique opportunity to join our friendly and creative garden team at Trinity Hall.

The College has three main sites, one located in the historic centre of Cambridge (Central Site), one on Thompsons Lane and the largest - Wychfield Site, located on Storey's Way.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Gardener to join the team and help us in maintaining and developing our beautiful gardens including trees, shrubs and cultivated areas to the highest standards.

If you are reliable, motivated and passionate about the outdoors, we want to hear from you!

Experience: Gardening experience is essential and experience of a college environment is an advantage.

References: Good previous work references are essential.

Uniform: Provided including PPE, coat, boots etc.

Working hours: The post is full-time and permanent (37.5 hours a week).

Duties

• Working in a safe manner, complying with current health and safety legislation.
• Working effectively with the team, offering appropriate guidance to junior colleagues
• Cultivating plants trees and shrubs, including pruning, weeding and irrigation.
• Maintaining turf areas including mowing, scarifying, application of fertiliser and plant protection products, including biological controls etc.
• Operating and maintaining a range of tools and machinery.
• Pruning and training of shrubs including wall shrubs and climbers (using ladders).
• Propagating and cultivating plants in glasshouses and poly-tunnels.
• Planting out bedding and other planting schemes.
