Are you skilled in Fabrication and Welding with an apprenticeship background experience across a wide range of fabrication and welding techniques?

We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable person, who has the desire to help others develop in the Fabrication and Welding industry, to join our team at UHI Inverness. You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply as training will be provided, though some experience of instructing or teaching is welcome. You should possess effective interpersonal and strong team working skills. Using an innovative approach, you will deliver Fabrication and Welding related subjects to a diverse range of students at a variety of levels both in workshops and classroom environments.

As a professional member of the teaching staff of UHI Inverness, you will be responsible for the preparation of lessons, the teaching of students and the marking and assessment of their work. You will be required to have a flexible approach and be an effective team member, able to develop and deliver a high-quality curriculum and educational experience.

To apply for this vacancy, you must be qualified in Fabrication and Welding to at least HNC level (Engineering related HNC or equivalent welcomed) or have equivalent industrial experience and qualification, having served a relevant apprenticeship.

This role presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic person who enjoys teaching and learning to join an experienced and diverse team. You will be required to deliver curriculum in an innovative manner with a focus on best practice in the teaching of topics relevant to your role. You will be required to be an effective team member able to deliver a high quality curriculum and educational experience

If applicable: You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply as training will be provided, however some experience of instructing or teaching is welcome. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject related software packages.
