The Maternal and Fetal Health Research Centre, in the Division of Developmental Biology and Medicine, seeks to appoint a Research Fellow in Maternal and Fetal Health. We are looking for an outstanding scientist who will contribute to one or more of our research priority areas (i) embryo implantation and early placental development (ii) placental dysfunction in complications of pregnancy and (iii) maternal cardiometabolic physiology in health and disease.

The successful appointee will join an integrated team of discovery and clinical scientists in purpose-built laboratories based within the largest single maternity hospital in the UK. The successful appointee will also be expected to engage in high-quality supervision to postgraduate research students.

Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject and relative to career stage, a successful publishing record and a track record of external grant awards. Applicants are also expected to submit an original research proposal as part of their application (see further particulars for more information).
