About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Graphic Designer to join our dynamic, diverse External Relations team. Based in East London, you’ll be working as part of a small but proactive design team, helping to shape the University's visual identity and bring ideas to life across digital and print platforms. If you're ready to make an impact with your creativity, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop compelling print and digital designs for campaigns, publications and online content.
  • Maintain and evolve the UEL brand, ensuring consistency across all materials.
  • Work on diverse projects, from environmental graphics and social media assets to infographics and interactive digital content.
  • Collaborate with teams across the University, translating ideas into eye-catching visuals.
  • Design, build, and test HTML email campaigns to engage our audiences.

About You 

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent experience) and a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • A keen eye for typography, layout and branding.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced creative environment, managing multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to take briefs and translate them into effective designs.
  • Experience in photo art direction and an understanding of print production.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and an interest in digital design trends (desirable).
