About the role
The Department of Marketing, International Business and Tourism within Manchester Metropolitan Business School wishes to appoint a Reader in International Business to join our committed and enthusiastic team.
The post holder will have specific responsibility for leading Education and Pedagogy initiatives, developing curriculum, and enhancing the department's profile in International Business. You will contribute to teaching excellence across undergraduate and postgraduate programs while fostering international partnerships and collaborations that align with the department's strategic objectives. As a reader, the successful applicant is expected to take on, as required, formal leadership and management roles and responsibilities in the department.
About you
The successful candidate will have a strong record of pedagogical excellence in International Business, evidenced by a highly visible profile in the global International Business community. You will hold a PhD in International Business or a related discipline and demonstrate substantial experience in academic leadership (absolute minimum Programme Leadership with experience in new programme development and programme review and revalidation). Experience in postgraduate supervision and an established international academic network are essential. Experience with developing and embedding work-integrated learning with industry partners into the curriculum is also desirable.
