The opportunity
London College of Fashion (LCF) is seeking a forward-thinking Lecturer in Womenswear Design to join a talented academic team at one of the world’s leading institutions for fashion education.
Working closely with the course team on BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear, you will ensure students receive an excellent learning experience by delivering teaching that explores womenswear design in depth, covering design, technology, and production with a focus on preparing students for careers in a dynamic and fast-evolving sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for teaching and curriculum development on a course that benefits from strong industry partnerships with leading fashion houses such as Marc Jacobs and Simone Rocha. As a lecturer, you’ll support these collaborations while embedding enterprise and employability into the curriculum. Teaching takes place in our cutting-edge studios and workshops, providing access to world-class facilities and the latest digital tools.
About you
You’ll bring deep expertise in fashion design, particularly womenswear, along with a confidence in both creative and technical processes. Whether you come from academia or the fashion industry, you’ll have an up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging trends in fashion, along with a strong awareness of industry expectations.
You’ll be comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a diverse team, and you’ll have a clear commitment to student pastoral care and academic support.
