The Reading School of Pharmacy is seeking an outstanding individual at Professor level to provide academic leadership within our interdisciplinary team and the University of Reading. You will join our team of expert researchers and educators to drive our focus on promoting research-led practice to shape the future of healthcare and innovative teaching to develop the prescribing pharmacists of the future. We offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the leadership, strategic planning and growth of research both within the Pharmacy Practice team and across our wider research environment, as well as opportunities to lead aspects of the development and delivery of high-quality teaching and student experience.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about establishing their personal research programme in the general area of health services research, including the supervision of students, mentoring of early career researchers and other colleagues, development and submission of interdisciplinary and collaborative research grant applications, and publishing outcomes of their research and developing impact cases studies suitable for inclusion in the next Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise. As this role is at professor level, candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership experience and a track record of publication and of securing research funding.
