Full-time, Fixed term contract for 24 months.
You will join as a Clinical Research Fellow the research team of Professors Brosens in the Division of Biomedical Sciences of Warwick Medical School and the Implantation Research Clinic at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.
The Implantation Research Clinic, an NHS experimental reproductive medicine clinic embedded in the Biomedical Research Unit in Reproductive Health (BRU-RH) at UHCW, provides care for women and their partners experiencing persistent reproductive failure from across the UK and abroad. Bio-samples obtained in the clinic are processed by the Arden Tissue Bank for innovative research programmes aimed at elucidating the causes of reproductive failure and developing novel diagnostics and therapeutics.
You will have a medical degree and achieved GMC/PMETB Foundation level competence (or equivalent.) You will also have experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at ST1-3 or equivalent.
There will be an opportunity to register for MD/PhD degree.
About You
You will be expected to support the clinical and research activities in the Implantation Research Clinic, i.e. from ‘bench to bedside’. You will receive training in managing implantation failure and infertility, early pregnancy loss, pelvic ultrasound, and integration of novel endometrial diagnostics in clinical care pathways. You will have the opportunity to design and develop a clinical and/or laboratory and/or computational research programme, working in close partnership with highly skilled researchers at the University of Warwick, external collaborators, and partner institutions in the Tommy’s National Miscarriage Research Centre. You will have the opportunity to register for MD/ PhD degree.
